After a series of delayes and changes, The arabian superstar is now preparing for his latest 2007 effort initially titled "Elleela Di". As AD.info previously advised in Christmas, the album is slated for a summer release in the first half of July and will be Diab's final release with Rotana. Album will contain 10 new tracks headed by the amazing Roohi Mertahalak(B.Mohamed/M.Yehia) and ofcourse Khaleek Ma3aya(A.Qamar/M.Yehia) which lyrics has been throughly changed. Despite all media news, Amr is yet to decide a director, a song and a location to shoot the first video. Album features Amr's usual entourage, Amr Mostafa, Mohamed Yehia, Mohamed Rehayem and Amr himself. Music production was credited to Fahd and a new young talent Hasan Shafey.
AD.info will postpone releasing the Tracklist, album and video details until next week once album goes under production.

Now valentine's day concert is the one worth talking about.
2.5 hour long concert where Amr Diab sang over 35 old songs including some
songs he usually never sings in live concerts like hawak hayarni, and we eh

Amr looked really good and was in control of the whole crowed that exceed
3000 people. Which is considerably a lot for a ticket that coasts 2000 L.E
(350 $)
Responding to a couple of magazines saying non-sense about Amr wearing black tshirt mourning the death of his band member Ashraf, get a life. The t-shirt has no relationship with anyone's death and Amr did not wear it to show his affection of any bands. Rock bands t-shirts are becoming a trend in Hollywood and Amr is always up to date with fashion trends, and it does not make him any less of an artist to wear another artist's products.
This particular T-shirt is from a very limited rock collection tshirts which also included rolling stones and beatles. It is by an American brand and is vintage & hand made .each tshirt (if you find one) costs $200. Nevertheless, the brand is owned by an Arabic designer.
As usual, AD.info joined Amr and the band to a very exclusive private party in 12-20-06 right before X mas. Amr Appeared in a black Dior suit, and dolce and gabbana shirt and a tie and a silver dolce and gabbana chain. It was not a very long performance (1 hr 45 min) but it was great.
I spoke with Amr in private before the concert. He assured me for the second time that he won't be releasing the album before summer 2007. It is now confirmed by Amr that he has entered another workshop season for his forthcoming release. In the new recording seasons, Amr has reunited with his (Aktar Wahid) entourage: Amr Mustafa, Mohamed Rehayem and the hits factory producer Tarik Madkour. In addition to re-recording some tracks, Amr will also record new ones. He will also present 2 new writers Khaled Amin and Tamir Hussain.
Amr is very excited and promising the fans a huge surprise worths the waiting. Until further announcement, Amr "estimated" the new album release by Summer 2007. Also, Title "Khaleek M3aya" is no longer valid at this point. Also, a huge "Unplugged" project is on the way. We will keep you notified with any updates.

Yes, Amr is still recording tracks for his forthcoming release. Due to Amr's restriction to us this year, AD.info will only release news which he wants the fans to know. For now and for the fans keep asking about the album news, we can only repeat what he shared with us last time (12-02 update) about his plan to release his new album (working title: Khaleek Ma3aya) very soon. He said the album will contain 10 tracks and will be produced by Fahd and Tarik Madkor (respecting to Amr's restriction,we referred to Tarik last time as a "slight change of album staffing"). Nevertheless, the news now came out official from his respected official site.

Yet AD.info has met with Amr once again. This time , Amr advised that he is still recording and working to meet his initial release period -End Of Decemeber (This period will not be official until Rotana receives the master). Amr also discussed some slight changes in the album staff. Working title reamins the same: Khaleek M3aya - Be With Me.

Great two hours with Diab last night. AD.info managed to meet with Amr, who appeared in a very short hair, discussed his new album -initially titled:Khaleek Ma3aya- Be With Me- . Since the death of his band manager and one of his best friends (ashraf Fouad), Diab had his first (semi) public appearance last night during a private party, at one of Cairo's finniest hotels. A medium length concert (1 hour and 40 min) I have to say he was professional enough not to show it, although I couldn’t help noticing that Ashraf's place has been replaced by returning drummer (Ahmed Rabie)..
I have known him for a 12 years, he was always funny, but a bit shy and antisocial. I believed in his talent as a musician. When we first me, he had just started his career as a professional drummer by joining (back then) one of the most promising bands in Egypt Amr Diab's band.
For the past 12 years he and the band have taken music in the Middle East to a whole new level. I used to meet with him briefly before each concert, and the same after each one. For over a decade I have seen him maturing professionally, until he became the best drummer in the entire region. I remember countless hours I have hung out with him and his sister on a personal level, regardless of his career with Diab.Everything was perfect until yesterday morning, when he died of a sudden stroke right in the middle of a squash game. His funeral was breath taking, I still can not believe he is dead, Amr diab was in a state of shock having to experience the sudden death or a friend and a colleague and being right there and not able to help..
Yesterday morning 38 year old Ahraf Fouad, Diab's main drummer and band leader has passed away.
After ricking AUC for two hours, bringing back alot of good memories, especailly that over the past few years, I have taken some very dear friends to that concert especificly. Diab ran to start his other concert at Intercontinental hotel.
He appeared at Auc at 9 15 pm wearing greet Armani sweat shirt and blue jaens, rocking the stage for two solid hours, amusing the 4500 people who filled the univercity, me and myfriend included.
then before you know it, he was dressed in shini brown shirt and black pants, rocking another smaller stage of about 2000 at intercontinental hotel.
A night to remember
Just when all singers go east, Amr goes west. And literaly this year, he went far west. Amr managed to retain his style by switching from Europian brands to Americans such as " True Religion, Ed hardy, Grail" and many more which are currently the hottest worn stuff by other International icons.

I had a very nice valentine's eve at Amr Diab concert with my date.
MR Diab was very romantic during his two hour performance, especially when he danced with his wife, Zina Ashour, and kissed her hand in front ofthe crowd. Things to remember were:
him competing with Tarik tahtawi the pianist to see which of them remeber lyrics and music of hsi oldies such as khalseen and hala hala.
when he was singing "raseef#5" Ashraf abdel baki ( who performed with him in the movie icecream in glym) showed up with his dark glasses and started dancing just like they did in the movie prtending to be blind.
I ,for some reason, was yawgning so amr goes like take your hands off your mouth or i will be in my car in a minute lol.
because my date was greek, when he was singing "ana bahebak aktar" she sang the greek part of that song with him which dazzeled everyone.
During the preparation for the new release,AD.info met with Amr where he confirmed to us the release of his new album by the end of this month. He said , Thursaday ,December 1st.and maybe sooner !! He said The album will be titled "Kammel Kalamak". But he will shoot his new slow balad "W malo" as his first video clip. The clip will be directed by Sherif Sabri Update: Due to creative differences, Sherif may not be attached to the project any longer Phone samples (Kamel Kalamak, we malo, Hekytak eh, m3ak begad, Ayam w ben3esha) will be released early next week in Rotana's lines.
